Vivian Son, originally from Korea, began her artistic journey as a young ballerina. While ballet taught her discipline and precision, she was always drawn to visual art and design. This passion led her to the world of jewelry, where she saw an opportunity to combine her love for beauty with the meticulous skills she developed as a dancer.

In her late twenties, Vivian moved to America to pursue a career in jewelry design. Understanding the importance of knowing precious stones, she studied at the Gemological Institute of America and earned her Graduate Gemologist degree. After graduating, she spent a decade working in New York’s Diamond District, where she gained extensive experience and built valuable connections in the jewelry industry.

With a solid background and deep industry knowledge, Vivian launched her own brand, Vivian Son Jewelry. She now focuses on creating custom, bespoke pieces for private clients, reflecting her unique style and attention to detail. Vivian lives just outside Manhattan with her two daughters, who inspire her every day. Her path from ballet to jewelry design showcases her dedication and love for both art and craftsmanship.
